Just when I thought it couldn't get worse....it did!

Wednesday: Our kitchen counters were being resurfaced so we spent the day running errands and hanging out at Aunt Amy's house.

Had lots of fun playing at McDonald's Playland!

What a big girl!!

What is NOT pictured are all the germs we were indivisibly picking up while we played :)

Wednesday afternoon, it was clearly apparent that pink eye was invading our lives.

Thursday we had tons of fun at PopPop and Grandmoms' house. They still had some snow (we did not) so Christian and Emma got to sled.

That's Christian heading down the hill! He was having a great time.

Then he showed me how he could go down the hill on "his bike" (actually it's the grandchildren bike that everyone rides at Grandmom and PopPop's house). Then suddenly Christian says he wants to go inside and snuggle with me. What? He was just sledding and riding his bike and having a great time. As soon as we got in the house he starts wailing about how his ear hurts. Two minutes later his tongue hurts and he sobbing about it.

So we spent an hour in the Urgent Care waiting area. Christian screamed and cried and kept smacking his hands against his head in misery for the entire hour. Finally I remembered the treasured Thomas pillow out in the car.

He fell sound asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. They actually did a strep test while he was sleeping. The verdict: double ear infection, strep throat, pink eye (I already knew that one). You have got to be kidding me!! So we got some amoxicillin and headed back to the grandparent's house.

Friday morning: And the next morning Christian was perfectly fine.

Emma took this picture of the boys hiking around! So the drama never seems to end for us! But we're home now! It's a beautiful day! My house smells like fresh spring air. I really hope spring is here to stay!
