My little Man

We went to buy baseball cleats and found out that Christian is now a men's size seven! What??!!! We now shop in the men's section? Toddler, child & youth just went by way too fast!

Good News!

Today was my dermatologist appointment. I drove out of state to get my third & final opinion & I'm so glad I did! The doctor today felt like it was an overreaction to do anything. What a relief! I suppose I did "doctor shop" until I found someone with an opinion that I liked, but I feel confident that this is the right decision. So that little 1 millimeter speck stays for now (that might change at some point) and I'm going to be the queen of sunscreen this summer!

Thanks for praying. I honestly was never worried which I know is an answer to prayer.

The "C" Word

Do you see that tiny little mole in the middle of my forehead?
It's just a tiny dot, but the problem with that dot is that I haven't always had it.
The dot is relatively new.
And it's color isn't so good.
I've had (2) dermatologist tell me it might be cancerous.
Definitely not a word this momma was happy to hear.

Of course, they mentioned the "C" word the same week we had pipes bursting in our house.
That was not a good week.
In fact, that night my husband showed up at my office with flowers and a cookie cake, because cookie cake always makes things better.

I'm hoping the first 2 doctors are wrong, so on Thursday I'm going to meet with doctor #3.
Am I thorough or what? The problem with the little dot that might be cancerous is ...it's on my face, in the middle of my forehead and they have to take it and then some around it. I'll have stitches and most likely a scar. That makes me sad. Why on earth couldn't this be on my arm or my shoulder or something?! I'm not worried at all, just sad that my face will never be the same. I know...oh the vanity. But that's where I am.

So please pray for me on Thursday afternoon. If doctor #3 says it should come off (which I'm expecting him to) then it's going to come off right then and there.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? Matt 6:25-27 NIV

Footprints in the Snow

Our back yard is covered in footprints, but our front yard just has this one tiny set. I love seeing McKenna's little footprints leading to the front door.

100th Day of School

McKenna just celebrated the 100th day if school. It was also Jump Rope for Heart, so McKenna didn't wear her "old lady" dress & she didn't want gray hair, but it was fun to act old.
I volunteered with Christian's class! They spent the morning going from classroom to classroom doing different 100th day stations. It's always fun to spend time with Christian & his friends.

She's SIX!!!!

We planned a huge surprise for McKenna's birthday!
Her cousins, Abby & Nate came to visit!!
She was speechless when they first arrived! Isn't this mini Anerican Girl doll the cutest thing ever?! I didn't know they made them. McKenna got this in the mail from her cousin Gracey.
We started the weekend off with sledding.
Then we went out to eat at our favorite local place, Mikies!
The kids worked really hard on this game.
They won lots of tickets....
And they now hold the record for the highest score.
The next day we went to Monkey Joes!
Abby got Will to go down the big slide.
The kids thought the hurricane simulator was hilarious.
Will decided not to cooperate for a group shot.
The girls went to Chick-fil-a for lunch. And then....
It was time for McKenna to get her ears pierced!!!! This is the before picture.
And here's the after! She did awesome. No tears. She didn't even flinch.
It was so fun to have Abby there.
What a big event!
She was glad it was over.
When we got home it was present time.
All ready for softball!

What a fun weekend, celebrating a fun girl!

My little Snow Buddy

He loves to be outside, but we've had a ton of snow this year! So he has learned to love the snow.

Daddy & Will in the snow!

He loves to be outside!
Oh my heart!
This is what happens to your face when you sled head first and crash onto the icy snow.
Poor guy.
