Tuesday was Ryan's birthday. The kids were so excited. Definitely more excited than Ryan himself. And since it's "the season" I had no idea if we would even see Ryan on Tuesday (just to give you an idea - he got home at 11:45pm last night). So we decided to surprise him at work with balloons and cupcakes.
Ryan usually likes to keep his birthday on the down-low. He thinks you should work hard at your job everyday whether it's your birthday or not (it's a huge pet peeve of his when people ask to take extra long lunches on their birthday or when they take the day off just because it's their birthday), so no one even knew it was his birthday until we ruined the secret and showed up with the party.

It was fun to see him at work, even if it was only for 20 minutes.
But Ryan did make it home in time for our little family party. It was even still light outside.

Oh Judy,
This is so sweet and the kids look so happy that they surprised Ryan. I am sure it meant a lot to him too. Our husbands are so special and give so much of themselves. Love the sleeping bag shot. Too cute. Have a great weekend girl.
Love and Hugs, Laurie
Happy Birthday Ryan!!! The expressions on Christian's face in all these pictures are absolutely priceless!!
