Whenever we arrive on the farm in Illinois the childhood boy in Ryan shows up! Suddenly he's tearing it up on 4 wheelers, going way too fast & cutting corners way too close on go-karts and setting up extravagant fireworks displays that every 10 year old boy would envy!
It was FREEZING!!! but Ryan and his brother Robert didn't seem to notice as they meticulously staged the fireworks for the big show that night!
It's become a Thanksgiving tradition that even the babies have to endure. Okay, so they don't actually love it, but everyone else does.
McKenna had to go inside before it was over. She liked the ground display but was totally freaked out by the fireworks exploding over her head.
Zavier came in right after her. Hopefully they're not traumatized for life!
Some mommies are just smarter than other mommies! Ella's mommy fits into the smart category since she packed snow pants for everyone in her family!
There's the master of ceremonies himself!
This was just the ground show!
He loved it and even stayed outside to help clean up.

It really was a great show and it's something we all do look forward to every year. Ryan loves setting off fireworks on the farm because you can use the big stuff and no cops will show up. Ha! I was actually quite impressed with how amazing some of the fireworks were. My favorite was the year when there was snow on the ground and the fireworks reflected off the snow. Just beautiful!

Adam would have been quite impressed with that firework show! Isn't funny how there's still little boys inside our men. :) Fireworks definitely bring it out in Adam!!
