Don't be fooled. He doesn't really like sleep. He's down to one nap a day and it's a short one. McKenna was like that, unfortunately it seems to be genetic. I never ever know what to expect when I head to bed. Sometimes he sleeps through the night. Sometimes he wakes up three times. It's maddening, but I don't even look at the clock anymore. He has a really, really rough time with sleep anytime he cuts a tooth. Right now he has 7 teeth, so the past month has been rough. My other big, big problem is that he leaks through his diaper in the middle of the night several times a week. This of course wakes him up and then he gets all fired up when you have to change his diaper and his entire outfit at 2am. I have tried EVERYTHING!! I buy the expensive Pampers & Huggies overnight diapers. They're better than regular diapers, but still don't do the trick every night. I had this problem with Christian. I think it's a boy thing. Anyone else have this problem with their boys???
Will is my first baby that doesn't have a pacifier or suck his thumb. Oh how I wish he would just take a binkie. I think we would all be much happier and we would sleep better. But it's not gonna happen.
Well, I'd better get to bed. Who knows what the night holds :)

He's so so sweet though...I love his pics...and so photogenic too! :) So, of course I don't have boys...but maybe one thing to suggest as far as the diapers go. I have found that the Costco diapers are WAY better than the regular Pampers (which I had been buying because I just thought they were the best...I've stand corrected). M would leak thru the Pampers but I haven't had a leak with the Costco brand (a bit cheaper too). Now I don't know how they would work with a boy since they are wetter in the front. Another thing is maybe buying some of the hemp or micro-cotton inserts for cloth diapers (you can easily buy them on Amazon) and put them in the disposable diaper at night. We do cloth diapers during the day and a disposable at night. They would help to add another layer of cloth to keep him dry in the night. Just a suggestion. I do this with M's cloth diapers at nap time and it helps. You just toss them in the wash with your regular clothes...it might help. :)

My oldest ALWAYS leaked through! Grrr. We did learn to layer mattress pad, sheet, mattress pad, sheet. Made at least that part easier at night!
I love this picture! Did you get a new camera? Your pictures having been really looking great! My girls both leaked through their diapers at this age. I used the overnight diapers and I double diapered (or sometimes I put a pullup over the overnight diaper). I hated going through diapers so quickly, but it was better than having a soaked baby. I even tried those plastic pants used for potty training, but that was just a plastic, gross mess. Maybe try a pull up over the diaper. My girls always leaked out the top of the diaper near the belly button and then their whole belly/chest got soaked. They also slept on their bellies, which made it even worse. I had to buy bigger diapers/pull ups to come up higher on their bellies. I'm not sure if boys leak at the same place or not! Good luck...your little man is just so sweet!
