A Message from MALAWI, AFRICA

Remember McKenna's Malawi birthday party??

Our boxes of clothes arrived a few weeks ago.

And these beautiful children are wearing them.

Isn't she so pretty!

I'm sure she doesn't have a clue that all of us over here in America are talking about her :)

And look at that little cutie.
Jamie, Daniel and a group from their church here in the states headed out to the orphanage to play with and minister to the kiddos. Hence the sheep hats you'll see on lots of kids. I'm guessing they must have been a cute craft that went along with a lesson or something.

This picture makes me wish we had sent boxes of Crocs too!

And there's a shirt that one of you sent.

Looks like everyone is washing their hands.

Check out that cute Hello Kitty dress that made it all the way to Africa!
What handsome little men! It makes me so sad that they don't have a mommy to tell them how handsome they are everyday!

And this is one final picture. I snagged this off of Jamie's Flicker account. Those do not look like dresses that we sent. Those look like precious little girls who still need new dresses. I know we can't solve all the problems in the world...But.....

Thanks for sharing the pictures! One of the things I love about couponing/bargain shopping is that the things I get don't just benefit my family. I was able to snag 2 of the dresses that I sent for under a dollar this fall from Macy's. Thank you to you Judy for thinking of a way that we could help meet the needs of others. God has given you such a compassoniate heart!

I love this post - It makes me feel so good and yet so bad, because there's really a lot more to be done - more kids who need clothes and shoes. So what do you say? Are you ready to do it again? Maybe we can all rally our friends, raise money, and send some more (crocs this time, too).

I just started crying because those little boys are wearing Scott's shirts! My heart is overwhelmed... it feels so good yet I too feel like there is still so much more to be done. Thank you for sharing. I can't wait to show my boys when they arrive home from school. We are collecting toys for Christmas for the kids in Belize that I worked with and the boys are really getting into it. I think they will love seeing the boys in Africa wearing Scotty's shirts. It really makes it real to them when they can see where the stuff ended up. Again thanks.

Judy, your posting reminds me of the DVD features shared by Samaritan's Purse for Operation Christmas Child. Those beautiful little smiling faces thrilled with the simplest of gifts. How blessed we all are when we give to others.

I would love to get in on it if you are up for another round, just let me know. I'll even be willing to collect the stuff and send it this time if it's to overwhelming for you. I know it's alot of work. Just say the word!!

Judy, I love seeing these pics on your post! Thanks for so much! It made me so proud to tell everyone that my college roomie rounded up all these clothes for this orphan daycare! You will never know the difference it has made...reminds me of the verse "...I was naked and you clothed Me...whatever you have done to the least of these you have done to Me." Much love from Malawi.
