Weekend Away!

The kids and I spent a wonderful weekend at my parent's house. The timing couldn't have been more perfect, Ryan was out of town, I got strep throat, and so we headed to my parents house to enjoy the beautiful fall weather and so someone else could hold McKenna for awhile (she's having some ear issues and the fussing is just wearing me out)!
McKenna loved being outside. You'll notice that you can't see her face in any of these pictures. She loved examining the grass and the fall leaves.

Deep concentration over that piece of grass she just picked. Amazingly it didn't end up in her mouth!

And this is how Christian spent his weekend; following his PopPop around outside!

Christian had at least one or two hiking sticks in his hands at all times, always ready for another "benture" (adventure).

Once again I could not get McKenna to look at the camera, no matter how entertaining I tried to be. She was way too fascinated watching all the leaves fall and the geese flying overhead.

Thanks for having us Mom and Dad and for letting me get a few naps! Oh heavenly!
