Water :)

Tonight I'm thankful for running water.
Whew...won't take it for granted for quite awhile.

Thankful that we don't have to use baby wipes to wash our hands.
Thankful that I don't have to fill up the back of the toilet just to flush it.
Thankful for friends who gave us water.
Thankful for friends who offered showers (probably should have taken them up on that).
Thankful that I can brush my teeth without it being an ordeal.
Thankful to scrub down my grubby kids.
Thankful for the ridiculously long shower I took tonight.

Ahhh...yes....running water is such a blessing.

Praying tonight for the moms in this world who don't have the ability to give their kids clean water.

P.S. We are also soooo thankful that our well was not dry and that we didn't have to replace the pump in the well. Either of those scenarios would have cost thousands. They actually had to replace an electrical wire down in the well that carries the electricity all the way down the well to the pump. Still an expensive fix, but considering what it could have been...we were thrilled.

McKenna's new friend

McKenna has a new friend named "Baby Reagan." Oh my word, she loves babies!!! She pretty much didn't leave "Baby Reagan's" side the entire time she was at our house.
And she loved sharing toys with her!

Every night when we eat dinner we have the kids tell Jesus something they're thankful for. McKenna pretty much always says "my bike" or "my swing" or "PopPop." Those are her three go-to answers. But after spending the morning with this sweet baby friend, McKenna told Jesus that she was thankful for "Baby Reagan."

Just Great...

We have no water in our house right now.
And I didn't take a shower today because I've been painting.
We might even have to ask our neighbors for water so we can flush our toilets.
Doesn't this sound like fun?

Easter Egg Hunt #1

Our church hosted an Easter Egg hunt on Saturday and McKenna was old enough to participate this year so it was her first official Easter Egg hunt! Her buddy Nicholas was in the same age group with her (the 2's and 3's) and it was helpful to have someone else that she knew who was there.
McKenna also spotted one of her favorite friends, Kiera, and she headed right over to her.

It took her a minute, but she quickly caught on to what you were supposed to do!

Christian, on the other hand, was a pro!

It was a beautiful day and a fun event for everyone!

This was Nicholas' second egg hunt of the year and nobody had to tell him what to do! His bucket was FULL!!

Thanks Ms. Chris for planning such a fun activity for all of the kids. I know it took a ton of effort to coordinate the filling and hiding of over 4,500 eggs!

And this is why we bought our house...

Sweet Times at the Sweetest Place on Earth

The final recap of our trip to Hershey, Pa.
So sharing a bed with Christian was NOT FUN A.T. A.L.L!
Ryan didn't mind sharing a bed with McKenna until I woke him up in the middle of the night and had him switch places with me. I thought I was going to loose my mind if Christian kicked me one more time. Ryan could sleep through a nuclear explosion, so I knew he wouldn't mind the kicking :) I'm such a sweet wife, aren't I??

But we really did end up having some great fun.
We went to Hershey's Chocolate World.

And we loved it.

My kids were so into the tour of Chocolate World!

I mean, who wouldn't love to listen to a bunch of cows talk about how chocolate is made?? It's exciting stuff!

This is my official "proof that I was there" picture. If you're a mom, you know what I mean. You always end up behind the camera and you never end up in any of the pictures.

Somehow we made it out of that place without spending a dime. It was literally a miracle because they literally had every kind of chocolate you could imagine. And then they had about a gazillion stuffed animals...except that they weren't animals...they were all the Hershey characters. Who even knew that they had Hershey characters?? I sure didn't!

Christian loved this race car. He's so into cars these days!

McKenna showing off a handful of Hershey Kisses! This girl learned to love Chocolate while we were there!
