Pizza Pool Party!!!!!

Will went to his first pool party!! It was on one of those almost 100 degree days that we had, so the pool temp. was around 90 degrees. Perfect for my sweet little guy. He stayed in the pool for almost an hour!
One of the best parts about living where we live is our neighbors. We have several great friends that all live within a mile of our house and we love spending time with all of them!

Christian had just found out he had swimmers ear, so he was sad that he couldn't go under the water. I kept reminding him that he should just be thankful that I even let him get in, because he wasn't supposed to be swimming at all!

So Christian was kind of bummed until Mr. Brian and Miss Angie told him the dinner plan! He got to make his own pizza. Oh my word, he thought this was the greatest thing ever!

He made a smiley face pizza. He even put tomato on it and actually ate it! He made a second pizza later in the evening. This activity was such a hit for him that we're planning on having the same thing for dinner later this week to celebrate Christian's born-again birthday!

McKenna was proud of her cheese pizza too!

Step 1: Find one silly boy!

Step 2: Find a buddy willing to do it with you!

Step 3: Assess the situation

Step 4: JUMP with all your might!

Step 5: Swim, swim, swim!

Step 6: Repeat until your coat, shirt, socks, shoes and pants are full of hay!

Tradition

I love traditions! I think that's what makes childhood memories and so for us apple picking is ALWAYS on our fall list of things we must do!

2006

I remember this year well because I took Christian in a stroller and the orchard is on the side of a mountain and that was a very bad combination. So I took Christian out of the stroller and he kept tumbling down the hill. Our sweet friend Ellie is on the left.

Last year we had the cousins with us and it was so much fun! Christian really missed them this year and so did Ellie and Kate.

Sunshine!!

We headed to the park yesterday - FINALLY! And yes, that's Christian in a baby swing, but there were only so many swings!

This girl LOVES to swing! And that's about all I'll let her do. I really was fine with the fact that McKenna is choosing NOT to walk, but now that we're heading outside more I really want her to walk! I hate having her crawl around in the wet, muddy grass but she is not motivated at all. She walks with her walker and baby doll stroller. She walks holding our hands. She cruises and stand all the time, she just doesn't want to do it on her own ((sigh)). I guess it'll happen when she's ready!

Christian and his friends Bryson and Tanyon were so excited to see a train come by! All three of these boys are train fanatics! Bryson was the one who got it all started!

You cannot begin to imagine how happy I am to be able to get outside and have everyone burn off all their energy! It was so good to see the boys running and running! WooHoo!
