Well that was fun!

The above picture was taken during Christian's last soccer game. This is how he looked all the time. Christian LOVED!!!!! soccer this season!! I mean seriously LOVED IT!! It made it so fun for all of us. He was intense but he could also be heard giggling as he ran down the field. He was also the only kid who was yelling at the other kids during the game. He would say stuff like "Come on guys. Get the ball." Or "Oh no, oh no, run faster" etc. You get the picture! It was pretty hilarious.
And what was even more surprising than how awesome Christian was, was the fact that I actually loved it! I'm sad that tomorrow will be our first Wednesday evening with no soccer practice. I'm even tempted to sign him up for soccer and t-ball in the spring, but then there's this little thing called "a new baby" that I also have to consider.
Christian learned so much and for that we are very thankful.

What a blessing to have awesome coaches who made it so much fun!
Coach Craig, Coach Mike
Brooke, Caden and Christian
(Please take special note of Christian's tough guy pose. This is his new thing. I have a feeling it's going to be appearing in many pictures over the next couple months. I'm hoping it will be short lived).

Saturday Morning on the soccer field....

Saturday was quite an exciting soccer game for Christian!
Christian is #6!

Picture me standing on the sideline cheering as loud as possible while McKenna jumps up and down and yells "Go Christian Go!!!"

Our cheering must have worked: Goal #1 for Christian!!! WooHoo!!!
Look how intense he is!

Another buddy on Christian's team scoring a goal!

Christian's buddy Nicholas throwing in the ball.

Christian throwing in the ball.

And Christian scored Goal #2!!
Do you see him in the back of this picture with his fist in the air?? That's what he does every time their team scores!

Looking over at mommy, just to make sure I saw what he just did :) I love that big smile! Makes me just want to run out on the field and kiss him (but I would NEVER do that)!

And here we go again...he's got the ball... he's out in front....and....

Goal #3 for Christian!!! Once again, do you see the arms in the air?? So sorry blue team, but green was dominating on Saturday!!!

Yup! He loves it! Loves this game. Loves his team. Loves his coach. Loves having his family cheering for him. It's been a fantastic first team experience for Christian. Only one more game and the season will be over until next year.

Another Morning at the Soccer Field

Our whole family got to go cheer Abby and Emma on at their soccer games on Saturday morning! We stopped by Abby's field first and saw her play a great game. She's #5!

She actually got control of the ball a few times.

But I must say that these two little boys (with Coach Jason) really carry the team! They can get tripped up, fall down, and they just jump right back up and start running after the ball again. Abby doesn't bounce back quite so quickly!

Abby occasionally gets to have a water break while the game is still being played. And this is what she does the whole time, NOT watch the game or cheer her teammates on, she plays with McKenna instead.

And that's all her friend Kate wanted to do too! So I asked the girls what they're favorite sport was, wondering if they would say soccer. Abby said, "I like Ballet because there's no running in Ballet." Kate said, "I like bowling. You don't run in bowling either." So there you have it folks, bowling and ballet!

Next we headed to Emma's field to see her play. This was towards the end of her game and I don't think I've ever seen her so exhausted. It was hot and she was running all over the field. I thought she just might fall over.

Emma is #10. She did a great job of staying with the ball, even when it meant a lot of running, and she had good control of the ball once she got it!

And here she is after the game. This picture doesn't even show how red her face was. I'm surprised she wasn't laying in the grass. She really got a work-out!
